The spring market is officially in full swing with a steady increase in number of transactions since the first quarter but will this last? For the first time in over two years, economists are split down the middle concerning the bank of Canada‘s potential rate hike on June 7. With inflation ticking  up ever so slightly in April mixed with Canadian consumer debt continuing to rise, how strong will the Bank of Canada want to curb inflation and leave the potential burden on Canadians? Next Wednesday’s announcement will tell us a lot about what is in store for the rest of the year.  We will make sure to keep you updated on the Bank of Canada’s decision and how it could affect the real estate market.
